What is passing the Knowledge? Is it just speaking about what we have learn and experience or is it showing what we have learn in a way where anyone can practice what is been showed. I think is a combination of both but also aside from speaking and showing there's a third and the is maintaining.
I raise this question as I think back about what I learned from watching Kentaro Toyama video. I am in agreement that is not enough just to show and think that because the internet is there everything will resolve on its own. As the example used in the video, I sit back and think how it exposes a truth that unless you have attended a school in a Third world is hard to imagine how different passing the knowledge of technology and put into practice comes to each one of us. I can think back about how I can relate to this since; I had attended school where computers were lacking, and the ones provided by the school were not properly maintain so it made learning and practicing a tough task, leading to just zoning out while someone was trying to pass their knowledge.
I think learning, practicing and becoming tech savvy is one of the first steps needed for today's age. Now, maintaining the knowledge, practicing and learning more is part of the process that I have to take ownership of in order to lead my life in path that will bring me satisfaction.

It was a very informative ted talk! I agree with you. His research exposed the way technology was provided but not properly supported. This really does hinder the progression of learning I agree. You're right even after providing the tools and knowledge its very important to maintain it whether by taking courses that implement the same tools and knowledge or simply doing son on your own leisure.
